Seven selected for India U-13 camp:
W Linthoingambi Devi, E Panthoi Chanu, T Ranjita Devi, H Sunita Devi, th Purnima Devi, Lhingneikim Kipgen and L Ranibala Devi have been selected to attend the India Under-13 girls football coaching camp to be held next month, informed an AMFA release.
The seven selected are further informed to submit copies of passports and six Nos of passport size photographs each to the AMFA office within April 30 .
NISA lose in Nayanar (Kerala) tourney:
NISA, Thangmeiband went down by a solitary goal to Nigeria's Bayelas United in a preliminary round match of the 2nd EK Nayanar Gold Cup Football Tournament at Kannur (Kerala) On Monday evening.
Substitute E Tub Guriga scored the all important goal in the 84th minute of the match which is the Nigerians' second win in as many matches.
NISA custodian K Ashok Singh, who earlier stopped a penalty kick by Kenneth Bassey, was named man of the match.
NISA's next opponent on April 25 will be Air India, Mumbai.
MPSC spikers win Thambal Volleyball:
MPSC clinched the title of the 3rd State Level K Thambal Devi Memorial junior Volleyball Tournament defeating KYSU, Kairembikhok 22-25 25-23 25-14 25-22 in the final at CVO ground, Charangpat on Tuesday.
The champions were awarded Rs 5000 besides the trophy while the runners-up side received Rs 3000.MPSC's O Gunamani won the best player award of the tournament which was participated by six teams
MPSC, Tekcham in polo final:
Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) and Tekcham Polo Club will clash for the title of the 18th Governor's Cup Invitation polo Tournament at Imphal pologround on April 24.
In a closely contested matches played on Tuesday, MPSC overcame Khurai Polo Club 8-7 via the golden goal rule while Tekcham edged out Lamyanba Pakhang PC 5-4.The first semi final saw, Khurai PC race to a 5-3 lead halfway into the match with the police side restoring parity in the remaining sessions to extend the tie into extra period during which T Pradeep Kumar scored.
S Bimol struck five of the MPSC goals in regulation period with S Somorjit netting two compared to Th Ranjit's triple strike for Khurai PC followed by two from Th Mocha and one apiece by Th Kaoba and Roshan.
In Tekcham's win over Lamyanba, S Sadananda found the target on three occasions as M Manihar chipped in two for the eventual winners.
P Ojit scored all the Lamyanba goals.
