Reservation counter, bus parking opened: Imphal, Dec 29: Along with the inauguration of a Computerised Passenger Reservation System (CPRS) booking counter at the Churachandpur District Transport Office, a newly renovated bus parking was also opened on Saturday at Churachandpur New Bazar. The twin inauguration functions were graced by Transport Minister L Jayantakumar as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Jayantakumar said that out of CPRS booking counters approved by the Indian Railway authority in Imphal East, Thoubal, Churachandpur and Bishnupur, the CPRS booking counter in Churachandpur district was taken up on a priority basis. Construction work of booking counter started in November 9 at the estimated cost of Rs 1.60 lakh. For the remaining districts, construction work for CPRS booking counters will be initiated within a short time, said the Transport Minister.
