16th Imphal Book Fair
Call for govt. support in library movement: Imphal, Dec 15: Giving out a clarion call to the state government for active participation in development of the library movement in Manipur, the 16th edition of the Imphal Book Fair was kicked off on Saturday at Hapta Kangjeibung in Palace Compound here. The annual book fair event which has been attracting an increasing number of book firms from outside the state is being organised jointly by State Central Library, Imphal, and Raja Rammohan Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata. Along with 14 local book firms, in all, 17 book firms from outside the state are opening their stalls in the fair this year.
