Bird-flu result negative: A bird-flu awareness campaign was organised by Joint Director, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry on Tuesday at Moirang Lamkhai following reports of death of fowls in the area. Blood samples from five bulbuls were collected for testing even as samples from other poultries could not be collected as the dead fowls were not available. Meanwhile, results of the samples from the dead Magpies collected from Maharabi were found negative. The results have come from the High Security Animal Disease Laboratory, Bhopal. Unity march reaches Mao: Imphal, Feb 2: The Peace and Unity March being organised by Young Horizon has reached Mao on Saturday. From Sunday, the march would proceed to other Northeastern States where people of the same ancestral stock are residing in an effort to renew emotional ties with them. For going ahead on its mission, the march would be flagged from Mao along with a befitting function. L Romesh Meetei who is leading the march has sought the blessing of all the people for the success of the mission. Around 500 people are participating in the march which would cover States like Nagaland, Meghalaya and Assam.
