Assam Regimental Centre lift title: Imphal, Feb 4: Assam Regimental Centre (ARC), Shillong rallied from a goal down to outlast Manipur Police sports Club (MPSC) 5-2 in the final match of the 10th Dr Kanti Mukherjee Memorial Invitation Hockey Tournament at the Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium on Monday. After conceding a goal only six minutes into the game when MPSC's N Gunamani converted a penalty corner, ARC came back strongly with four goals before the local side pulled back one on Gunamani's second in the 51st minute. However, the commanding lead was restored when Thanga struck his second of the match in the 64th minute, his first coming in the 21st.The other ARc scorers are Y Holendro (12th) and M Arunkumar (19th, 49th). The champions walked away with the top booty of Rs 30,000 and the running trophy handed over by Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh.
