Ratan Thiyam to be honoured with D.Lit: The Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, has conferred the Degree of Doctor of Literature (Honoris Causa) on renowned dramatist Ratan Thiyam of Manipur. A message from the vice chancellor of the university, Prof Karunasindhu Das, has informed that the dramatist will be honoured with the degree at the university’s 33rd Annual Convocation slated to be held on May 7 at the Jorasanko Thakurbari in appreciation of Thiyam’s highly distinguished contribution in the area of drama.
