MU opens HR course: Imphal, Dec 18: A six-month Certificate Course in Human Rights and Duties Education was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Manipur University. Giving the inaugural address, Prof C Amuba, vice chancellor Manipur University, said, "In Northeast, particularly Manipur, we are living in the midst of conflict situation. political, ethnic, economic? We are riddled with so many conflict situations. In such situation, it is a good idea to understand our rights and duties." He opined that understanding human rights and duties will go a long way in lessening the existing conflict situations. Lauding the opening of the course, the VC said that with time, slowly the certificate course will be upgraded to diploma course and finally PG level course.
