JAC on Robi Killing demands issuing weapons to citizens: Imphal, Apr 25: Coming out strongly against the killing of Haorambam Robi Meetei (52) of Lilong Chajing Konjeng Leikai by KCP (MTF) on the night of April 23, the JAC formed to decry the killing has also categorically raised the demand for issuing weapons to all the citizens to defend themselves as the lives of innocent people are not safe anymore in the State. Addressing a press conference in this connection on Friday, L Maipak, secretary of the JAC Against the Brutal Killing of H Robi Meetei said that Robi was an innocent person leading a simple life. So the JAC would not be able to accept the charges levelled against him after being killed by KCP (MTF). Stating that the demand of the UG groups would never been fulfilled without the support of the people, Maipak pointed out that if a person is guilty then he/she should be given a chance instead of killing and heaving charges.
