Manipuri student dies in Delhi: A Manipuri student doing his degree course in Delhi University identified as Mesak Sinate (22) s/o Damhau Sinate of Reng-kai, Churachandpur died after falling down from the second floor of a building at Lajpat Nagar, Delhi in the evening of December 25. Khundrakpam takes initiative: Imphal, Dec 13: A public meeting held at Haraorou Community Hall on Thursday resolved to impose ban on selling and consumption of tobacco products like Zarda, Khaini, Talab, etc. in any part of Khundrakpam Assembly constituency with immediate effect. The meeting attended by representatives of Meira Paibis, clubs, other social organisations and transporters’ societies of Haraorou, Pangei, Waiton, Nepali Basti Khundrakpam, Tangkham, Taorem, Khuningthek, Sarouthel, Ngairangbam, Morok Ingkhol, Yumnam Khunou, Sambei, Chigkhu, Sinam Kom, Sinam, Ishikha further resolved that all those who defy the ban should themselves be held responsible for any eventuality.
