Saratchandra Football: NEROCA Sangakpham and the MPSC have completed the semi finals line-up of the 4th L Saratchandra Memorial Invitation Football Tournament being played at Kongkhampat ground, Nambol. In the last match of group B, MBSU Wahengbam Leikai pipped TRAU Kwakeithel 5-3 . The second match between MPSC and NEROCA ended in 1-1 draw. Th Rohen of MPSC equalised NEROCA's first half goal by H Amarjit to earn the police side a crucial point. At the end of the match, NEROCA emerged winners of group C on better goal difference while the MPSC managed to get through to the semi-finals round by virtue of being the second best team of all the groups. MPSC will take on TRUGPU Nambol in the first semi-final on April 23 while NEROCA face off YWC Thambalkhong in the second semi-final on the same day. NEROCA win, NISA bite dust: Imphal, Jan 7: YWC Thambalkhong edged past NISA Thangmeiband by a solitary goal at Sekmai while NEROCA beat KFC Kakching 3-0 at Kakching. In other matches of the Manipur State League played on Sunday, ESU Wangkhei were held by PYC Phoudel at Phoudel 1-1 while MPSC drew with USA Khurai by a similar scoreline. At Rengkai, visitors SSU Singjamei whipped RACC 2-0. N Jimmy struck twice for SSU in the 67th and 80th minutes.

AMOFA stun Manipur Police: Imphal, Dec 23: AMOFA, Moirang stunned Manipur Police by a solitary goal even as NEROCA (Laipham Khunou), SSU (Singjamei) and YWC (Thambalkhong) defeated their respective opponents, while KFC, Kakching and PYC, Phoudel split points after a 2-2 draw in the 2nd Manipur State League football competition matches played on Sunday. Manipur Police, TRAU, NEROCA win: Imphal, Dec 16: The 2nd Manipur State League football competition resumed on Sunday after a brief break owing to the recently concluded 51st CC Meet football tournament. Playing at THAU ground which serves as the home ground for TRAU, Tiddim Road, the hosts overcame ESU, Wangkhei, by a solitary goal scored in the 29th minute by Y San-tosh off a flag kick taken by K Inaoton. At Luwangsangbam ground, hosts NEROCA, Shangakpham, blanked SSU, Singjamei 2-0 with L Nabachandra finding the rivals’ net five minutes into the game before S Thomas sealed the match with an 86th minute strike.
