Northeast girl molested in Gurgaon:

New Delhi, Dec 13: A 17-year-old girl from the North East undergoing a course in designing was reportedly molested repeatedly by her landlord in Gurgaon, Haryana.

According to a North East Support Centre and Helpline (NESC&H) report, the landlord after failing in his repeated attempts to rape the minor girl, in frustration, threw out the girl along with her sister and cousin from the house without any reason at midnight.

The NESC&H lodged an FIR at Gurgaon Police station on Thursday, but police refused to register a case, the report said.

“There are more then 2000 North East people staying in Gurgaon, where more then 68% of the discrimination went unreported and 22% denied even if they seek help from the police,” the report added.

Inter-State buses suspend service: Imphal, May 4: Following the All Manipur Inter-State Bus Services Association (AMISBSA)'s decision to suspend buses services indefinitely due to 'heavy' monetary demands from various elements, all buses plying along the National Highways have suspended service from Sunday. The association has been compelled to take the decision owing to various elements, undergrounds and overgrounds demanding heavy amount of money from the transporters, a spokesman of the association told media persons on Sunday evening. The spokesman said transporters, mainly passenger buses, are facing many problems due to the heavy imposition of monetary demands and 'taxes' by different underground groups operating in both hills and valley districts. Manipuri girl found dead Imphal/Mumbai, July 15 : A 27-year-old Manipuri girl working as a customer relationship manager in a Mumbai five star hotel was found dead in her hostel at Marol in Andheri shortly after midnight on Friday.
